Another Weekend Bites the Dust

Another weekend down, boo hoo.

I am linking up for Weekend Update! You should too!

I spend a lot of time on the world wide web this weekend! That can certainly be dangerous! Whoops!

But before I can get to that...I did spend some hours with girlfriends from work both Friday and Saturday night! It was fun.  We hadn't gotten together outside of school for a few months, so it was just what I needed.  Some fun, girl catch up time! :)

Saturday my mom and I went shopping.  We stopped in JC Penney, TJ Maxx, and Sam's Club.  She had hit up the casino the night before and found herself winning a little mula so we decided a girls' day of shopping fun was deserved.

Kelly over at Keeping Up with Kelly & Co had posted this beauty on Instagram.  Once I saw that it was only $10, I knew I had to have it.  They have the feel of the expensive Under Armor sweatshirts too!  I picked it up in pink and black!

I have also been on a sparkle kick.  As soon as I saw this in the ad, I knew it had to be mine.

Next stop...TJ Maxx... you may remember the cute black pencil skirt I bought last weekend.  Well I decided I wouldn't get much use out of it, so I went in to return the skirt. I thought I would peruse the store first before getting my money back.  When I saw a beautiful peacoat on a rack.  I beelined over to the Calvin Klein grey coat.  I thought it was pretty and just hoped it would fit.  And. It. Did.  Yay!  Last year, my goal was to get a new puffy coat for warmth.  This year, the goal was a peacoat for dressier looks...and it is just November and I have met my goal!

Next stop was Sam's Club.  Now I didn't anticipate this being that fun of a trip.  However, my mom and I managed to spend 2 hours in the warehouse. Oops.  My favorite purchase of course was a new dual managed electric heating blanket.  I have barely come out from under it since I got it out of the box.

The trip was a success. You can tell that by just looking at our cart.  Luckily there were things in there for my mom, my brother, and myself... phew!

Sunday morning, I placed an order with VS.  Today was the last day of free shipping if you spent $75.  Plus if you spent $75 you could get a free sparkling clutch, and knowing how I have been craving more sparkle in my life, I had to take advantage.  I am not going to put a bunch of pictures of what I grabbed because VS tends to put as little clothing on their models as possible.  I will summarize my shopping cart though.  I ordered a pair of flannel pjs, new undies, a sweatshirt tunic, and a pair of boots.  I am not 100% about the boots but VS has a great return policy so I will make that decision once they come!

Lastly, I have been stalking DesiringJoy's etsy shop for this beautiful scarf.  She had posted on Facebook that she would have a few online on Sunday.  For some reason I had perfect timing, as I was looking for something else, I saw she posted three more in her I scooped one up right away!

So that was my dangerous weekend spent shopping!  I do believe it is the best therapy a girl can ask for! :) Hope you all had great weekends too!

  1. Tj Maxx is definitely my store! You do need a lot of patience to find someswesome stuff, but totally worthit! You are a serious shopper! I am not. Maybe I should go shopping with you next time! (;
